One Year Dr Visit

She obviously hates going. She doesn't get excited about having an audience at all.

She loves the fish tank.

And having alone time in a small room with Mommy and Daddy.

Speaking of Daddy-she loves to play with EVERYTHING in the room just like him.

We are so blessed to have a baby who does well with shots. We have a joke in our house that she has my pain tolerance and we were proven right on this visit. She never reacted to the finger prick. She was just fascinated with the pretty blood coming out of her finger. The nurse was amazed at her reactionn

 She loved her sparkly band-aid.
We loved her stats. 30.5" (90%) height and 22.8 (76%) weight. We were so happy that her weight percentage was finally lower than her height.

Graysen's First Birthday Cake

You never know what a baby will do with their first cake. Graysen had only had a bite of ice cream before her birthday, and the night before I wondered if we should have had a trial run. She was really cute while we sang Happy birthday and just looked around at everyone excitedly.

Our cake maker forgot to make her smash cake, but some very nice friends picked one up from her on the way.

"Am I allowed to play with this?"

"Yeah, a whole cake for me!"

She started off a little slow...

But after pics with Mommy and Daddy

and all the cousins

some extra guidance from Leila

and a pep talk from Uncle Nat

she was ready to really dig in

She successfully "smashed" her cake and was very cute entertainment.

Another post about that Liardon kid I love

I started to put together Graysen's birthday blog (there are 600 pics thanks to Aunt Marisa) and saw so many cute pictures of Graysen and her kindred spirit Rose that I had to let them have their own post.

Sweet Rose with her broken arms couldn't swim with the bigger kids so she was the protector of the babies. Especially her enamored friend Graysen.
Can you tell she adores her?
She told the older kids that she couldn't swim so please leave her alone in the ball pit.

She was right next to G when it was cake time.
She let her know the cake was going to be yummy.
She helped with her party hat
and said don't worry-she has this.
She was pure joy to be around.
