L.A Girls Weekend

After a very planned vacation the week before it was nice to get on a plane and head out to sunny LA with no major itinerary.

This is ALWAYS our first stop when we land.

I finally got a room at the Chateau Marmont and fell even more in love with the hotel. It has the cutest courtyard in the middle that serves as a restaurant/bar and has the best people watching anywhere. We had been there for 15 minutes when the man of the hour in Hollywood came in. We happily watched Jared Leto work the room for the next four hours.

After two bottles of champagne we called it an early night. Steph made reservations at our favorite restaurant for lunch the next day and we ran into this awesome person. The valet guy was taking a picture with her so we just went for it and she was so nice.
A trip up in the hills to see the Hollywood sign.

and then dinner Roscoe's before the Kings.

A beautiful drive down the coast to Malibu for lunch at Nobu.

and a Meryl Davis and Maks spotting. We enjoyed the view.

A visit to the pier and the LACMA ended the day.
I flew back just in time to catch the end of the rodeo and ZBB.

New York-Day 1

Shawn won the Nutcracker battle and I won the New York battle. I had been counting the days to take G to our favorite city in the U.S.
She is getting to be a pro at checking in.

My Dad gave her some headphones for Christmas and she was excited to use them.

I was very nervous to be on a 4 hour flight with her. I had movies, books, stickers, crayons, and markets in my carry-on. She hates being buckled but other than that she charmed the flight attendants and had them all entertained.
 Hello NYC!

He fits right in with his NY look.
Our first stop was FAO of course.
Then it was time for a rest at the Plaza...
 and then our friends arrived.
 Little friend hugs.
And a good night pic in her..shower cap?

Christmas Dance Recital

Graysen's dance class had a Christmas party and a mini dance recital. I was so proud of her. She danced and sang the whole time. I have been worried dance wasn't going to be her thing but she was awesome.

 We love Ms. Megan.

Her Nani and Stephy came to watch her too.

I can't wait for the end of the year recital.
